I felt that I didn’t do very well performing at the showcase, I’ve done it a lot better other times. I found the Capoeira harder than the Contemporary, it didn’t come as naturally to me, so I had to work harder and even then it still wasn’t as good as the Contemporary we did at the beginning of the school year. I found the movements harder so the way I danced them was quite stiff. I also struggle a lot with improvisation particularly when I’m performing. I don’t have much confidence so I often find that I don’t dance as well as I could when I’m performing. If I did it again I need to remember a lot of the stylistic features of Capoeira and try to be less nervous.
